I think youll find the question on Nano FO systems has already been answered in your original thread. I also made a short list of what you might want equipment wise.

Start by utilizing a sump, this can house your heater, skimmer, a DSB, and any filter media you might want. As stated before in your other thread, external canister filters, with some internal powerheads could also work if you really didnt want to go with a sump. This would mean youd also have to find a place for your other equipmentin the tank (if you didnt go sump), and this is why its general considered more sightly to have a sump, because things can be hidden in the cuboard.

The best advice I could give you, if your serious about creating a FO, is to join a local reef/marine society, and seed your sand bed with samples taken from others sand beds, just ask them to scoop out some at a meeting and so forth. This seeds your sand bed with maximum life, from various sources.

Sorry to quote myself, but if you did join a local London Reef club, youll pick up bargains, and get first hand help, as a member of a local society, I know first hand how cheap things can get. I got 40kg's of LR, corals and fish free. People are also frequently getting rid of tanks, and its common knowledge a second hand tank gets sold alot cheaper than what it costs to set-up, and someone might be willing to help a newb. Deffinately browse trading forums etc. (and not just here at TFF) Get involved!

THANKS, I AM SO CONFUSED SO I KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS AND THEN I START A NEW THREAD :~ BUT THANKS YOU HAVE JUST CLEARED QUITE ALOT UP. I WILL DO AS YOU SUGGESTED AND BROWSE TRADING FORUMS. I THINK MY 24X12X12 WILL BECOME A SUMP FOR A BIGGER TANK. I THINK I WILL BE TO RESTRICTED IN SUCH A 'NANO' TANK.

THANKS FOR THE HELP MR MIAGI
