i have some LR being stored in a tub till i'm ready to use it, the water level is slowly evaporating, how do i top this up? plain RO water or Plain Ro with additives as I have heard just plain RO on its own is not good. or should i bite the bullet and get 40 gallons into my tank and store it in there as i'm thinking with the lid on the tank i will get less evaporation......... many thanks, Kevin

well with my tank, it has a lid and i havent needed to top up at all since putting water in 6 weeks ago

but does the water need additives for live rock ?

not that i know of.
i think it is in your salt and it dont evaporate

ok tomorrow i go buy 30 gallons, so i can get my rocks out of the tub and into the tank my lfs sells it @ £1 per gallon (salted) is that a reasonable price?

Mine sells it for £5 for 25 litres

so same price as i believe 25l is 5 gallons
