Does anyone have any ides please for peaceful lower level swimmers - ( NOT bottom dwellers ) - to go in harmony with Dwarf Gourami, Platy, neon and rummy nose tetra.
I do not like catfish or coryodora.
Thanks
Steve

Quite personally if you already have a variety of lower level swimmers, I'd get bigger shoals. I think it looks better than having "bits and bobs" of different fish.
Sorry I did not answer your question directly, but that's my opinion :)

Gotta agree with bloozoo here - I couldn't keep just one neon, rummynose etc - it defies the whole point of them, and they won't be as content as they would with the security of fellows. Neons tend to stay closer to the bottom.

i dont think hes saying he has only one of each fish - if you read carefully hes just stating the species of fish that he has

I read carefully and didn't see any plurals, but you could be right. Anyway you had it right Michael and we need to know the size of tank first.

Volume in litres: 250
Volume in imperial gallons: 54.99945
Volume in US gallons: 66.0502
I have an oversize internal filter, and have also added an external filter.
I do not want to overstock - simply to create a peaceful tank.
Exiating stock :
7 x Dwarf Gourami
10 x Neon Tetra
10 Rummy nose tetra
10 Cardinal tetra
I hope this answers your queries.
The reason I am posting questions is to make sure I minimise my mistakes in the future.
Rams seem a good option for bottom swimmers - I just want to ensure they will not disturb my other fish.
Regards
Steve

Ah a nice big tank then :) Rams would be lovely and would definitely go well with the fish you have at the moment
Sounds like a lovely tank - you should post some pics in the members aquarium and fish section.

Rams are pretty low aggression and should make nice tankmates, especially if you have suitable cover at the bottom of the tank.

Here is a link someone posted a couple weeks ago that has a pretty good list of fish for all levels of your tank.
