Hello all.
New to this forum and needed to come here for some advice. My wife and I are new to the aquarium hobby. We started with a 2.5 gallon then liked it and moved right to a 10gallon. Well last week we ended up with a 40 gallon tank! We have it all set up waiting for the cycle to run. We have a Bio Wheel filter and a Power head with a heater and airstone. Now that its been sitting for two days... we are starting to get alot of bubbles building up on the surface. How do we get rid of this? Does it mean something is wrong with the water? Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks
Brad

hello brad1900,

the bubbles are probably from your airstone. :) i remember when i first got mine, that happened. eventually the surface won't be covered by them, but even so it's not a bad thing.

good luck with your new tank.

This usually happens when a tank is filled for the first time, they soon go , or you can rub your hand over them .It is just the tank settling down.

Alright all thanks for the help! I had to unplug the airstone and turned the bubble thing off on the power head to get it to stop. Ill let it go for a day or two before turning them back on then!

Thanks again
Brad
