Only since about 3 weeks ago i have been losing about an inch or even more every day- and also losing some at night.
The ground nearby doesn't seem flooded or damp. I can see no obvious leaks or holes. My first thought was evaporation as we have had some hot days but i was losing water overnight even! When i left to go on holiday i came back and found a full pond had only lost 1 foot of water. So surely if i was losing 1 inch-2inch of water a day for 2 weeks from a leak all the water would have gone up to the location of the leak. Am i underestimating evaporation? Oh and my pond is black solid moulded linen with fish and plants. Not sure of the size but i think it's 1000 litres. Is anyone else finding this? If i do have a leak is there a repair kit i can get?

Any advice is helpful. Hope you can help

i am losing water too it the hot weather we havin so yes it evaporation as every night i fill it up to the top and i put up a sun brolly up every mornin to keep the heat off the water and give me fish some shade too

Its just evaporation, my pond has lost water like that too at times. If the pond has a flexible liner, another thing that could cause the water level to appear to drop is when the soil under the pond starts to dry up and shrink in long hot dry periods of weather, causing the pond to deepen/widen and so making the pond appear like it is loosing large amounts of water (when in reality it isn't really).

thanks for advice so far but recently i have had some hot days but lost nowhere near as much water. Any one explain??

check outlet pipes.
i agree with all the answers, evaporation.
