I posted a little while back about my betta, some of you thought she had columnaris, which seemed like it from what I could see. I lost her, but saved my 4 black mollys by using Furan-2.

All was fine for a little while & now it seems this condition is back. Ive lost a betta and a guppy last night :(

I would like to treat my whole tank, as it seems I always catch whatever this is when its too late, and I don't want to loose any more of my fishes! Is this a good idea? Maybe I could do a half dosing as a precaution?

So in case any more of my fish get this, what would be safe for all of my fish? The ones I'm worried about w/ meds are the khuli loaches, cory catfish, & neon tetras.

Furan 2 doesn't say anything about being harmful to these fish, but I want to be sure if I need to use it. It contains nitrofurazone, furazolidone, and methylene blue trihydrate.

Currently I'm doing 30% water changes once a week, I think I may up this a bit to keep my tank super clean. So... would two 30% changes a week be ok?

Thanks for any help!

First of all are you treating your water for columnaris??? If your fish keeps coming up with this then that could be your problem. I use start right by Jungle that stuff is a very good product. As for medicine I would try Maracn that also is a very good product and I have had very good luck with that kind of medicine also. Plus it has a fish chart in the box that tell you all about the symptoms of each disease..
