Looks like a 'water' sample!

2nd tank has two new pieces of bog wood and we are having more trouble with the water colour than with the first tank. It's very yellow, even after boiling the wood first. The filter is an internal one with black foam and I wondered if I could add any other medium to help clear the water

If u have space in the filter, then carbon will help, but apart from that u will have to either just live with it or remove it.

always best to leave the wood to soak for a few hours or so.
