Looking To Buy One Of Those Hd Freeview Recorder Things

as the title says i am in the hunt for a HD freeview recorder box thing maybe with blueray player integrated. i hate the sales pitches from staff at currys, comet etc etc so im hoping that some of you that have them can give me pros and cons for the set up you have....

looking to spend no more than £350 but if there are some really good ones that are slightly more then maybe ill wait until the new year sales

i dont want to get sky as i think its crap and a waste of money every month so im looking for a freeview alternative or maybe freesat. whats the difference?

it needs to be a trip with the wife as she wants to help choose

Karl Pilkington on the advert would be a good enough reason for me to buy one. But i'm blessed with Sky+HD downstairs and I fired my TV off in my room for my 55gal!

Phillips DTR5520 seems to have good reviews - Way under your budget, but I see no Blu Ray involved.
