Looking For Ember Tetra!

well, havent re-setup my tank yet, but it is a 60L tank, that will be medium - heavily planted, and im planing on a shoal of ember tetra with 6-7 pygmy corys, and cherry shrimp. but the problem is nowhere ive ever been to sells ember tetra! i dont need them now as the tank isnt set up or ready, but i was wandering if anyone breeds and sells them, as i would love to get some! if anyone knows of anyone else on the forum or themselves sells or breeds them then please reply as i will be interested in a few months!

Sounds like a much better setup mate!

Most Maidenhead Aquatics sell them or can order them in for you. Maybe you have one near you?

thanks, yeah i have to agree that id prefer this setup, in the future ill get a bigger tank for rams i think! also just done a store locator for maidenhead aquatics and there is one quite near to my dads, and also one 15 minutes from me, i had just never heard of or seen it before!

No problem mate. Take a look at StandBySetting's journal in the plated section. He loves Ember Tetra's and has them in his setup. Very nice fish that is less common than the usual neons, cardinals etc. Because of their size they usually lend themselves well to decent sized shoals in smaller tanks.

went down the LFS yesterday and found out they stock and sell ember tetra! havent been there in a while so didnt know, so looks like i wont be having any trouble finding any!
