Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone breeds Ocellaris clowns? I'm looking to get a nice one, smallish, nice deep orange colour with not much black. You'd be suprised how difficult it seems to be to find one!

I live in Leeds, so anywhere in the West Yorkshire area would be good.

Can anyone help?

i would contact an actual breeder, these things are bred in mass quantities.

Try the Yellow Pages for aquatics centres in your area. Clowns are probably the most common marine fish sold, largely due to "Finding Nemo" lol.

I'm looking for someone - ideally an individual and not a company/business - who breeds them: I've tried all of the LFS's near me (5) and all of them of course have clowns, but they're all mostly a pale orange/yellowy colour (they assure me they're Ocellaris rather than True Perculas, and that their colour will develop, but I don't believe that...I bought a small ocellaris clown 3 years ago which was bright orange from the start), rather than the deep/bright orange I'm wanting. I had a 50gal about 3 years ago, and have just got back into it recently, and I want the same clown as I had before, which was definitely a nice bright orange, not the yellows I seem to find near me!
