tank's been running for months now, it's an Interpet River Reef 50, 78W T5 lights, 94l, about 20kg LR

want to get some centrepiece coral and a centrepiece fish for the tank.

current livestock is:

pair clowns, royal gramma, 3x red legged hermits, 2x turbo snails

lots of mushrooms:
-green watermelons,
- blues
- metallic blues
- reds
- marbled
- green rhodactis
- brown/green tongan bulls' eye

green polyps, green star polyps, xenia, metallic green trachyphyillia (open brain coral)

some caulerpa as well, but not much

looking for something bright, relatively easy to keep, moderate flow and moderate light for the coral, not to aggressive, any ideas?

was thinking of some ricordia as well in the future, but hard to find any good ones atm

fish wise, something relatively peaceful, happy on flake (tho i feed with frozen, its not on a regular basis), active and above all, colourful. I was tempted by a carpenters flasher wrasse, had one before, and/or a pair of neon blue gobies, but open to suggstions.

cheers

I don't keep marines, & don't know much about 'em, but mainly for the purposes of bumping you, I like Mandarins & think they are colourful and seem to get on with other fish.....

Ludwig, mandarins are colorful but they rarely take frozen foods. They're natural food source is copepods and they eat a LOT of them.

Unless you can find one eating frozen (or flake, i guess) I wouldn't get one. They need at least a 55g mature tank with a refugium.

For other fish suggestions... maybe a coral beauty, or a blenny. I wouls suggest a midas blenny, I have one and he is very colorful and has lots of personality (for a fish). :good:
