I know there are a lot of posts on this but I want something specific to mine as I'm planting a 120g (24" tall) and it's huge so I want to make sure I've got the right everything.

Now I really know nothing when it comes to this, so far I've only done lowlight planted so this is all very new.

As I understand it I should get clay for the bottom inch and then I can put sand on top.

As for lights I have two T8s (one on each side). I'm not sure what I should be doing for light. I was told I could use a 4 bulb t8 shop light fixture that's 4ft long... not sure if that's accurate.

And would I have to dose with fertilizer?

For now could I just use fertilizers and high lights and slowly ease into C02 eventually or do I have to do it all in one go?

I'm gonna start with these questions and delve into the CO2 bit later on...

They are 34w so 136w but I can always buy different bulbs. Isn't the rule 2w per gallon?

Could I use something like this on it:

a 4ft. 4-bulb T5 high output fluorescent light fixture
