Hmmm ok, following this logic, if I seal a cat in a transparent box with a male and female mouse, some wheat grain, plants, dirt and water all I need to do is drop a kibble or two into the box every month or so?

ugggh, read the letters from aquababy owners! Even a biologist thinks it's great!! She assumes two of the 3 fish died within a month from natural causes

at the old petshop i use to work at, the boss tried to get us to sell customers bowls not half that size with the bettas (not even enough room for gravel)
luckily,
i'm a convincing little sales lady
i don't haggle (don't worry )
i'm one of those people that talks to total strangers as if they were old friends and people have a tendency to get comfortable with me fast
they always asked for me by name (didn't impress the boss, cause i had only been there a month and people would push him aside to get my help )
ANYWAYS,

i would get people to start yapping about their pets and how cute they were then i'd start slippin' in the "suggestions"
"oh your dogs sound adorable.... well bettas are like the fish equivelent to a dog.... but you'll find them pretty lethargic in this little thing..... now for just $29 (emphasize the fealing that they won't get a deal this good anywhere only don't actually "say" it, just imply ) you can have them in this 2gal aquarium with a light, hood, filter AND bubbles! that little guy will be playing in the bubbles just like a little puppy dog, your kids will love it!.... now if you stick them in this little bowl *holding up depressed fish*
well, its pretty boring now isn't it....."

I'm convinced that if betta's magically turned into people, then most of them would be living in efficiency apartments - that's what I think of when I see those tiny bowls.

For those interested, I quite often visit a betta site, Bettatalk, run by a Betta FANATIC

I have sent an email asking for a link to the petition website to be added to her website to help raise the awareness

I'm hoping that this way it will reach many of the right people
