i found these two tanks for sale today!!!

i'm thinknig of buying one of them, and putting it under the house until i free up some space

TROPICAL 4FT AQUARIUM Full set up incl. filter, pumps, rocks, heater, light, stand etc, $100 (Aus)

AQUARIUM, 4 FT, tropical, on stand, w/filter, heater, gravel, rocks & fish, bargain $125 (Aus)

both these are in Australian dollars...so i guess about $50 american?

4ft here, in the us, would be a 55 gal tank... or 75 or 90
If it is the latter it might be worth it...
It really depends on how good the geer that comes with it is..
If it is a solid 75+ and the stand is good.. then heck ya they are worth it even if you throw the rest of the junk away..

I would find it hard to believe that either of those would be bad deals, assuming they're not complete junk (homemade acrylic tank, homemade stand, lots of dings and scratches, just DIY store "shop lights", etc). The tank itself, assuming it's in good shape, would easily cost at least that much, retail.

But, in my opinion, it's all about the stand. If one includes a good stand, in good shape, then you've easily found a huge bargain.

Assuming you don't mink having some junk laying around (or under) the house for a while.

I need to come across some steals like that, i havent heard of anyone giving away tanks personally or selling htem for low prices but i have heard tons of stories of other people finding them!

although i do know someone with a huge tank that is currently acting as a box holding books in someones cluttered basement
i just have to work on them!
