Who's your longest resident at the fish tank :p

Either living or one that has "moved out".

For me its my Sucking Loach and my Red Finned Black Shark - They were amongst the first load i put in over 2 years ago!

After them its probably the Kuhli Loach or my Glowlight Tetras :D

My sister fancy goldfish which i named tweety, had him 20 months.

Hmmmmm, I guess it would be my Dojos, I bought them when I set up my 55 gallon, like 4 years ago, and now they're happily flourishing in my 29 gallon.
They've almost died of a violent fungus attach, Survived without a single symptom of Ich in my 29, major tank renovation, phosphate problems, etc. They're the hardiest fish I've ever had. :)

Well the oldest fish I have are the tiger barbs and the clown loaches which are supposedly 2 years old. They came with a 55 gallon set-up my mom bought at a church yardsale, he said he's had the fish for two years, but the clown loaches are only like 5 inches. Is this normal growth for a 2 year old fish? :dunno: My oldest fish would probably have to be two of my original neons I had when I had my 10 gallon and cycled the tank with them. :-( Back in December when I didn't really know anything at all about fish. :X

I had a fairground goldfish that I won at Framlingham Gala in 1977.
He moved into a garden pond when he outgrew the tank three years later.
In 1991 I moved away and he was still there and now a proud dad of two generations of offspring.
As far as I know, he's still there now.

My oldest fish would have to be the one I got from my Aunt...I've had my Kissing Gourami for 4 years, and my aunt had her for at least 3 years....so she's about 7 now. Maybe older. I'll have to ask my Aunt...

Wow that's a long time. I had a goldfish in a pond and he was 7 years old until a racoon got him :(

My big Angel is 6 years old...
I also have 3 white lace tetra's that are 6 years ( when I bought them they were dyed...now it is hard to tell they were )

and I have 2 clown loaches that are hitting 3 I think...

a regular and an albino tiger barb which are well over 4-5 years old (i cant be exact but they have been around through 3 years of college and at least 2 years of high school) - what is the life span for a t. barb anyhow?

I lost a goldfish that was at least 10 years old from my pond last year . He fell victim to an huge owl that suddenly decided my pond was a good place to find lunch. I lost several before I figured out what was going on. I ended up having to put a screen over it to keep the owl out.
