Lonely?

hey,
if i get 1 dwarf puffer on his own in a tank, will it get lonely?
i dont usually like to keep any animals on there own as i think its cruel, but ive heard if you get 2 dwarf puffers they fight?
opinions please?

It's only cruel IMO if the animal in question is one that has a need of or derives pleasure from being with others. Some animals, including some fish, are naturally solitary, and then they will probably be happier on their own. So I wouldn't worry.

The puffer wont get lonley. You could put a few ghost shrimp in there now and then so he can interact with something thats alive, but he will eventually eat them.

You could keep another puffer but only if each puffer has 5 gallon to himself.
