I used to have these little snails in my tank which were quite cool, but then i got loaches and they et them all. I was wondering, if i got a snail that was about an inch long would the loaches leave it alone?

I doubt if the loaches would be able to eat a snail that size, but they would most probably try to snack on it - loaches and snails just don't go together.

I bought 2 Yoyo Loaches specifically to eat the pesky snails. At first they pestered my Golden Apple Snail. Although it is large perhaps it tastes the same as a small snail? Anyway they stopped doing that. I would have removed the snail to another tank if they hadn't. :) One of the loaches died a few days ago, it was lying on it's side, I know they do that. It had something stuck in it's mouth and it was definitely dead. I found it when I turned the lights back on in the evening and it had been fine in the morning when the lights were on.

I would remove the apple snail from the tank if they are or arent bothering it, i have seen where they eat thro the trapdoor of an apple snail and leave holes in its 'foot'
