as many different loaches as possible

Yoyo (need to be fairly big to eat snails), clown loaches. They are the most common loaches, well in my area of the world they are

As stated above, most of the loaches that used to be in the Botia genus will eat snails. The space in your tank will determine what is and what is not possible. Botias are gregarious fish and like to be in groups of at least 3. Many grow to a good size, I'm talking 150mm/6", some a lot more, (Clown Loaches for example). Sadly, many are also somewhat aggressive, and a few are downright mean.

Of the more readily available species, I'd suggest Botia striata, which is fairly peaceful, a good snail eater, and doesn't get much more then 100mm. If you've got the space for 3 that is.
