liz is dead!!!

Liz my female comet platy has died for no apparent reason just fournd her floating !!! now her two babies are orfins!!!!! i was wondering wether the new babies which i thought were gupppy babies were her and she die of the stress but the other two are so big compared to these.... so confusing!!! and . i ts make me feel alike a bit of a failure

I know it's distressing to lose a fish but sometimes it just happens. Don't feel a failure - it's happened to all of us. How long has your tank been set up? Could well be the stress of giving birth - some mums just find it too stressful and die shortly after.

sorry to hear about your fish I had a guppy do that right after she gave birth she diead for no reason I thought it was something I had done to but I didnt lose any other fish so dont feel so bad it happens to all of us.

Don't feel bad. You did nothing wrong. Mine did exactly the same. She gave birth of 14 fry and died shortly after. I guess she couldn't handle it.

i think i am am ok about it cos her dauther bo( pronoced bow formlittle bo peep lol) will take her place in the aquarim i think but tomorrow i will do a water cahnge an di think i might star doind water cahnges twice a week
