My roommate wants to start a saltwater tank this summer. He just wants me to ask if theres any livebearer salt water fish? Thanks

P. Kauderni (A type of Cardinal fish) rear young inside the mouth of the father until he see's fit to spit them out. Sea Horses also brood young in the fathers stomach until the young are ready to be released. They are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.

You should deffinately research how to keep both properly, as getting water parameters right is essencial for breeding aswell as having adequate feeding grounds, pods, or live cultures and grow-out tanks for their eventual growth.

The young will not survive and flourish like fresh water live bearers, which will breed just about anywhere and have been classed as international pests.

Ok thanks guys, I'll let him know.
Personally I have no interest in saltwater. Well I do, they're some of the most beautiful fish I've ever seen but, I myself have not enough time or money for them. I'll just stick to freshwater cichlids =)
