Live Sand In Bag

ello all

i managed to sort the red algue problem i had .... it was to much light so thats been taken care of!!

my Q is when i was taking the red algue out of the tank i was taking sand with it.. iv now put more sand in the tank but iv still got half a bag left.. if i seal the bag would it be ok to use it later if needed? or is it once open use asap or throw it away as it says nothing on the bag.. and i know the sand contains live bacteria etc

any info would be good

If its live sand the bacteria in the sand is probably already dead when you buy it so should be ok to save it and use it later. Just treat it like normal sand and when you come to use it again make sure you give it a good wash.
