Live Rock

I will soon be purchasing my LR and am curious to know whats the difference between Caribbean and Fiji LR.
Fiji rock is more readily available and cheaper but im happy to pay more for the Caribbean if it is a better product or is it all just the same?
Any comments would be appreciated.

As I understand it, Caribbean rock is more porous and lighter than Fiji rock, and as such the same weight will get you more actual volume of rock. Whereas you would need 50lbs of Fiji rock, 40lbs of Caribbean rock would take up the same space in your tank.

Of course, I could be wrong, but that seems to be the biggest difference.

Could be a good idea to mix them. You will get a greater variety of life on the rocks and a variety of different shapes as both types of rock are different in loks I believe
