Live Rock

We brought 20kg of live rock today and after it had been in the tank for a while we noticed some star type creatures.
They look a bit like starfish except they have 6 points, cream in colour and about 1/2" across.
Any ideas what they could be?

Astrea (sp?) star fish
Some eat corals but most just eat algae of the glass and rocks, leave him.

I think you will find that it's Asterina.

It can be a pest but Harlequin shrimps eat them.

Thanks Red. Just had a look on google images but it doesn't look the same at all.
Just inspected it closer and it's almost flower shaped, look like petal shaped points. It's really hard to describe and my camera's not working at the moment.

I don't think it's that either.
I can't see any on the live rock at all, it's stuck to the glass on the tank, if that's any help.

sounds wierd but cool! LR hitchikers are great, we never seem to get much interesting though

We ended up with a couple of tiny snails and a Nassarius Vibex.
Oh and 4 of these star shaped things! Still checking every half an hour to see if anything else turns up!
