How many lbs of live rock is needed for a 37 gallon tank?

also wats the best kind of live rock if there is a best? ive been using figi, but im looking for more to start stacking for future polyps/soft corals. so wat makes creating a reef tank the best? :/

37- 50 lbs, rock is rock...just look for stuff that is more porus (sorry about spelling) and less dense. Look for lots of surface area, and most importantly, stuff that looks like it would fit together well for aquascaping.

ok so basically anything that is flat, or looks like it could be stacked and clustered well. thx

another thing to consider is that when your aquascaping remember that you want to put corals in there. Also, alot of frags come with some portion of live rock. I love the aquascaping in my 20 long I just put together. I intended it for a mushroom farm to help pay for the 70 Im working on. However after getting the rock just so it looked freakin' sweet, I stepped back and realized i had very few places to put coral. Just one more thing to consider.
