Live Rock Inhabitants

Hi folks...

As some of you may know, I've just (today) added Live rock to my new nano setup.

I've already spotted life on it and was just wondering what sort of freebies that we could hope to get on live rock by the time it gets to us...

Here are a couple of piccys to get the thread going - Being new, I dont know what I've got so comments would be great

Lush Purple Coraline Algae

Marine plants and bubble algae

Not the greatest pic but lots of fan worms

Predatory worm

My best hitchhiker was a small green feather duster, no pic sorry.

hey i have hydras too they are cool, but they need meaty foods or bugs im not sure if they perform photosynethises but i know there a type of poylp, and your green bubble algea its just me but thats stuff gets ugly if it spreads too much and its hard to get rid of... hmmm i like the hyras.

It's ugly no matter if you have 1 or 100, thankfully most of it died off now that i'm using my RO Unit right, i picked off the rest

Just altered the original pictures...

Think some are star polyps.... small green or possibly brown??

I've got some algaes too and an odd orange patch...

ya i found 2 last night and picked em off, i thought they were cooluntil i saw my lfs battling it in a display.. hmm but i think its al good now, i have a hyrda polyp like hwat you study in science or w/e its kinda cool but for it to live i have to always put bugs near it so t eats em... otherwise they might starve till u start using meat for my fish that i dnt have yet...

Nice goin smithrc. Your LR looks tops! Looks like youve got a clam type filter feeder in the first pic, and yep, those are deffinately are star polyps! YAY! Free coral! WOOT!

Im sure you'll find alot more when the rock inhabitants aclimate. Including, my fav, crabs! Muhahah! I hand feed mine! LOL!

Crabs com on LR randomly. Some people dont like them, others do. By chance really.
