how long can live rock last without water or flow over them ?

i want to use live rock rubble in my overflow but recently we get power cuts that last for 2 hours, when im home i can start the generator but when im not there,theres no water going over the rubble.will it create die off ? and push nitrtite and nitrate ?

live rock should be kept moist or wet. If it dries out it will die. If you have a cover over the area with the rock in, then the humidity will help keep it alive for longer.
You might get an ammonia or nitrite spike due to the die off. If you keep the feeding down for a few days after a power failure, you will have less problems with this.
