Live Plants Vs Fake

Can someone recommend weather fake or live plants are the way to go.
If possible list pros and cons of each.
and also your personal experiences with both if possible

Live:

Pros -

Good for the water quality (if healthy)

Look lovely (if healthy).

Good for the fish (if healthy.

Can add more interest for you.

Cons -

None of the above is true if you can't keep them healthy which can be hard.

Fake:

Cons

Can look tacky

Can be expensive

Constantly get dirty

Do nothing for water quality

The plastic ones can hurt some fish

Pros

The won't die!!!!

plastic plants are horrible. if getting fake ones, buy silk plants.

nothing can compete with the aesthetics of live plants but they take some caring for.
