I have recently been reading up about live food. I am not sure about it. It can contain deseases and it seems cruel. However i dont know how to obtain live food.
I mean live food such as brine shrimp and daffnia can someone point me in the right direction please

Usually lfs, don't buy live tubilex worms they do fetch nasty things into your tank.

Brine shrimps work really good, I personally think. And my loaches love snails. I avoid bloodworms though.

For the most part live foods are used either to condition fish to spawn or to feed to fry. Most have to be cultured or hatched, some can be purchased for example: black worms or red worms. Unless you need them for breeding, it is OK to use frozen foods such as Blood worms, mysis or brine shrimp, dpahnia etc. Be sure to buy a reputable bran or from a reputable wholesale supplier and you should be fine. I am a fan of Hikari frozen foods.
