live food

Hi

quick question .. where do you keep live food (shrimp, daphnia etc..) I was told in the fridge but is this ok? And how long do they last?

Yep, in the fridge.

Although it's possible to keep them alive for weeks with careful water changes and a suitable container, it's much simpler to just buy as much live food as your fish can eat in a couple of days.

Most live food will stay live in the bag it came in for around three days if put in the fridge.

It's also best to rinse the food in a little tankwater before introducing it to the tank.
