Right I will make this short.. I am seriously thinking of breeding Clownfish and my first task is to sort out a live food chain. Does anyone know where I can get microalgae and rotifers from to start a culture. I have some brine shrimp eggs from previous experiments but need the others for the newly hatched clownfish larvae. I am based in the UK so suppliers near here will be much appreciated.

Regards

I think I will use 2 liter plastic bottles as the reactors for phytoplankton with airstone and rigid airtubing. Thanks for the offer though most appreciated. I have just found a supplier in the West Country that supplies rotifers, microalgae and their 'food'. Now to find some 20-40 gallon tanks, light units, valves, airline and all the other little bits and pieces that go with breeding Clowns.

Sounds like you are going for it big time :)
I have 2 x 3' 25 gallon tanks they are 36" x 15" tall x 12 wide. Both have lids, Light units though one will need a bulb there are also heaters and filters etc to go with these. They come on a 3ft metal stand so dont take up too much room. I was going to stick em on ebay soon anyhow. I'm just outside York so not sure where you are and would be happy for £80 for everything.
Good look with it anyhow I'll be watching with interest :)
