i just got some worms yesterday, and today, i just found out that my corys acually stick their head in the sand to look for burrowed worms instead of skimming the surface to look for food. my neon ate some too, even though it usually doesnt eat

Hi Dorkhedeos :)

Corys love to dig for worms!

You never have to worry with over feeding when you feed live worms because they will bury themselves and the corys can enjoy a snack whenever they feel like one!

im kinda scared though, my cory ate more than my goldfish today  my cory ate like a 1.5 cm ball of worms. i know you have to rinse the worms in water first, but how much water? i am rinsing them with tap water cause im hoping the chlorine will help kill the bacteria on them,

Hi there. I feed my eel worms from my very own worm farm i have out in the back yard. And he LOVES them, its great! I wash the in water just to make sure that alot of soil isnt transfered but that is the only reason. Im not too fussy about it.

Hi Dorkhedeos :)

Actually, corys have big appetites and I think that often they are underfed. :/

When you get the worms, pour them into a cup or plastic container with a spout if possible. That makes it easier to pour the water off without the worms getting away.

Then fill it up with cold tap water and stir. Spill off the water and repeat as often as necessary until the water runs clear. After you feed the fish, store the remaining worms, with just a little water to cover them, in a covered jar or dish, in the refrigerator. Every day until they are gone, rinse them again.

I've been doing it this way for a long time and never had a single problem from them.
