I activated my live cam if anyone wants to see my angels mating. Not sure how much longer they will go, but if anyone is interested, the link is in my signature.

As of now you can see strings of eggs in upper left corner - but they will probably eat them when they finish.

They mated for an hour. The male has wondered away and the female is hovering near the eggs but not eating them yet. The light just went out so I'm killing the cam feed. But I will set it to come back on with the tank lights tomorrow.

That's a really cool idea. Thanks.

I can't get it to work. It's just a wheel going around and around for ages before I gave up. Perhaps my internet is running too slow today

I keep it turned off when the lights are not on - so it's only active 4:30 PM EST to 10:30 PM. I know it won't work on Apple IOS because of flash. Other forum members (on other threads where we have tried this) have said that sometimes if they switch browsers it will work for them (Chrome vs IE).

That would mean roughly 5 hours earlier in the day for you Akasha.  So, 11:30 AM - 5:30 PM.

EDIT:  SO silly...

5 hours LATER for you.  So, 9:30PM - 3:30AM

I was like, wait, I'm behind England...but you corrected yourself!!

Yeah... it was very early when I was posting that.   Gotta remember to have the coffee IN THE BLOODSTREAM before posting regarding time zones.

I actually forgot to check for the eggs before leaving for work...and I'm impatient to find out if they are still there. I just activated the camera, but without the tank light I can't see into that corner where the eggs were. If you click the camera link now all you see is the night vision light and a reflection of my living room. But a few fish are visible. I keep seeing the female heading into that corner, though. She's chased a couple of fish away from the area.

Well the tank light is on and the eggs are there, but I don't quite understand the dynamic between the Angels. They seem to be fighting. The male keeps chasing the female away and then puts his mouth on the eggs. But it does not look like he is eating them. Is he cleaning them??

My angels are worked up. Looks like they will be mating this evening. I hope they pick the flat rock right near my camera...but they have not settled on a spot yet.

Looks like they like the plant near that rock.

Yes looks like they picked a leaf. Just need some Barry White or Luther Vandross ballads now.

I am new to the concept of angels breeding, so I like to log my findings here in case it helps anyone else.

When I went to bed last night the angels had completely covered a leaf with eggs, and the female was not letting anyone, including the male, anywhere near the eggs.  I forgot to check this morning before work, but I activated my camera just now and turned on night vision just to see what they are up to. The angels are wandering the dark tank and not staying near the plant with the eggs. So I assume either the eggs have already been eaten, or they do not feel as protective when the tank is mostly dark. Won't know for sure until later today when I get home.

Side note: the fish look pretty cool on night vision...glowing eyes easily visible. I'll leave the camera on today.
