Well I just received a bag of small bloodworms off ebay. I thought they would come with a care sheet, but apparently not.

So how do I keep them alive? Should I take them out of the bag they came in?

And are they meant to be really small? I heard of people feeding them using a toothpick, but a toothpick would be about ten times wider than these worms!

keep them in the fridge, they will keep longer. i would put them in a plastic container in the liquid they are in.

when you want to feed, tip the contents through a fish net and the worms should be in the net and you can just put that in the tank

When i have bloodworm i just empty in into a small container with lid, i have a pipette with i use to syphon from pot and empty into tank, i keep whats left over in the fridge which slows down there growth, they will eventually turn into mig's so make sure you dont keep for long time, and the smell will become foul...

yes they are small, if people use tooth picks iam imagining its to sort of catch them over the pick rather than stabbing them, like sometimes i just use my finger and hoik some out

Sounds horribly messy - yuck. I use dried bloodworm pellets bought on Ebay, which are hassle free, odourless and convenient. They keep for months withut refrigeration and all my fish, tropical and coldwater, love them

Get a clean empty jam jar with a lid. Stab some holes in the lid with a screwdriver or somthing similar, pour in your bloodworms plus some of your tankwater, so the jar is just over half full. Pop it in a safe place in the fridge where it won't be knocked over or fall out easily. They should keep for about a week.:good:
