Hi guys. I only have a betta fish and shrimp in this tank so I’m assuming that it is shrimp eggs. Will they die if they are left like this?
Also, is my betta starting to clamp his fins? I’m just overly worried as this is his new tank.
(yes it’s been fully cycled - last time I tested it was a week ago and nitrate was a little high but I did plenty of water changes so I think it should be fine now) I’m just worrying I think.

Shrimps keep their eggs under their belly’s and fan them constantly with their rear legs, they may be betta eggs but it looks to be a male betta. Do you have any snails?

Nerites lay eggs that look like sesame seeds; assassins lay square eggs. So they are not snail eggs.

In the photo, they look too big to be shrimp eggs, even if a shrimp had dropped her eggs for some reason.

They aren't eggs, they're osmocote fertilizer, commonly used in substrate capsule fertilizer for plants...."root tabs", some people call them....

Now I can see the resemblance!
They annoy the heck out of me, unsightly  ...it's the reason I stopped using them in my tanks...I use gravity to siphon my tanks, and it's not strong enough to suck them out, so I have to net them out during WC's...it's a PITA, lol
