I have real plants in my tanks and I wanted to use some kind of liquid fertiliser to aid their growth but I get so confused by it all  I will be wanting Shrimp in my tank and I'm concerned that some of the chemicals will not be good for them, is this the case? If not (or if so) can anyone recommend a good fertiliser to buy over the internet (UK)?

Thank you :good:

dont get liquid ferts, buy cheap dry ferts and mix them yourself. You save like 100 dollars a year or something. I'll try to look for a link for you.

Given that I'm just not ready to mix my own fert yet, my LFS recommended ferro vit and flora 24. I do a 60% water change once a week, add 10ml ferro vit (I have a 30g tank), and I add two drops of flora 24 daily. My plants are doing extrodinarily well, a jungle overnight.

Kent makes a beginners fert program - it is three different things you can buy as a package online. I was using this before I switched to the ferro vit and the flora 24 and it worked well. It was explained to me that the difference in the products was similiar to a driving a chevy or a benz.

Nice. Thanks all, I will look into mixing my own first then but if it looks too complex and scary  I'll look at the liquid ones recommended too.
