hey there! just a quick question if i was to start dosing liquid co2 in my tank would i also have to start dosing a fertilizer for the plants as well ?

depends on your lighting. macro nutrients probably.

If dosing any form of CO2 you should be dosing full ferts inc N&P as the CO2 will force the plants to photo synthesize faster.

mike- my lighting is at 1.8 wpg :)

thanks steveo but what ferts/nutrients in specific do you mean by 'N&P' ? sorry if that's a dumb question :)

nitrogen and phosphorous = N and P

if it helps i use this, when dosing with liquid carbon.
yes, it's cheaper to buy dry salts. But if you're new to this, TNC complete is easier.Dose daily.Water change once a week

this is one of the cheapest liquid carbon's out there

and here's a link to dry salt's its easy to mix your own :good:

i use both of these it works for me :good:

thanks mike, much appreciation :D i had no idea what N was but thought the other was phosphorous or phosphate or something :p lol
cheers stu, i'll look into this stuff, see which id rather do :)
