I was watching Amazing animal Videos this morning and they had a section on there about a Lionhead goldfish.

the owner was convered about her pet because he couldn't swim properly (which is very common in lionheads) so she tied a piece of fleece to his waist attached to a piece of styrofoam to help him to float. The way she described how the fish was it would have been better to eithanise him...he looked miserable when they filmed him as well.

The poor guy was being kept on his own in an unfiltered, undecorated tank...so it was just him swimming around in water. No sand, gravel etc and the tank was right next to a window.

Poor fish :(

sad even to treat a gold fish so poorly . Maybe if they changed its water often it would swim a little better .

Well... they hand feed him bloodworms and he didn't look unhappy to me. I don't remember the tank being bare though. At least not the bottom. I could understand no decor becuase his string would get caught but you couldn't even tell if there was a filter or not because it didn't show the whole tank. I've seen it twice!
