Meet Lily, my Boxer puppy. I live in the suburbs outside of Detroit, MI where dog fighting is unfortunately a HUGE problem. She was kept to be a "bait dog", and to be used as a casualty in such dog fights. Last December, I went on patrol with the Detroit Police Department for journalistic reasons. We found her in a man's home who runs a very elaborate dog fighting ring within the city. Detroit euthanizes dogs after 48 hours of non-adoption. Needless to say, I demanded I bring her home! She was estimated to be about 5 weeks old when we found her. She is my pride and joy, and without a doubt the best Christmas present God has ever given me!

Lily, 6 weeks.

The reality of this stroy is so sad. But at least you rescued her from almost certain death. I don't how people can get any enjoyment from this kind of thing, i am stressed when two fish have a bit of a go at each other. lol.
