i got a coral frag and on it i have noticed a lil hitch hiker.... a Sea Squirt. in time the mushroom will cover him up :( was wondering if there is anyway i can move him onto another bit of LR thats in my tank??? as i dont want the mushroom to block his intake tube :p

Hammer and chisel or screwdriver...carefully...split it off underwater if possible. SH

WOW that seems extreme lol. i was hoping for more of a tease it away with a but of cheese method :p

Thx for the advice SH.

If it's just a single mushroom on the rock I'd be tempted to remove that rather than the squirt.

Agreed, single mushrooms are cheap and commonly avialable. Also very hardy. The mushie has a better chance of living and easier to replace than the seasquirt :)

I think what SH meant was, not take the hammer and chiesel to the squirt, but split the peace of LR rubble it came on. :good: Thats what I have done in the past, to break up some fragging corals.
