So I have Asian water moss in this high flow tank… Asian water moss, kind of interlocks like Legos, with the current, and ends up forming a mat of sorts... I like the shading it provides, but my Anubis’s, has been wanting a bit more light, but too much is not good… these floating rings are available in several sizes, so it’s a bit tunable… the plants have to be removed, and pulled apart and added in bits, and let the flow, fill it in once the ring is placed… the ring is only held in place by the plants, so I add the bits to one side or the other, to keep the ring centered...
It kind of gives a muted spotlight effect... I'll need to take a long handled spoon or similar, to dip out the stragglers, at 1st, until they all lock together, then it'll be a clean ring of light...
