Anyone got any advise they can share with me? I acidently left my tank lights on for the past 2 days, I didnt return home last night...

The montipora that sits a couple of inches under the surface has lost its colour pretty dramaticly and the polyups havnt been out this evening. I only realised what had happened when the lights didnt shut off from the timer half an hour after normal lights out tonight.

Can it recover? What can I do to help it out now? Its a 2inch frag of Green Montipora Confusa.

4x 39w t5, coral was no more than 4 inches under surface.

Yes, it can recover. Make sure it gets a good night rest, and perhaps shorten it's next photoperiod by 2-3 hours.

Dying off pretty fast now :(

Lots of grey areas, some green patches left but I dont think its going to make it. Im well bummed.

The best thing is to leave it be as it is photodamaged. If you think it is all going to die real soon you could try fragging but make sure you have a health margin that way the health frag should not have been exposed to the cellular interactions of the dying section.... Just a thought

Regards

Humm, got any pictures? Sometimes when corals are stressed like this you need to frag them to save em. I could give you an idea if it's necessary, but I'd need a pic to see it...
