Lights In Tank? Help!

I just bought a shubunkin yesterday, he's large in size, he's in a 90l tank, anyway everytime i put the lights on he just goes to the bottom of the tank and sits there on the rocks, is he asleep or does he just not like the lights??

Has it always had a light on it's tank (you said he was large so I'm guessing he wasn't from a pet shop...)? Or is the light a new addition? If so he may just need to adjust. If not then I would suggest trying to get some floating plants to try and diffuse the light a bit.

Na i only got him yesterday from a pet shop, he's largeish not fully grown, i have the lights on a timer so they come on at 3 and then off at 11, he moves around for a bit but then usually goes back down, i just fed him a bit to see if he would move for that and he has done, he seems a bit better now moving around a lot more but it still worries me that he wont like the lights coz i have live plants that need them.

Well just give him some time. If you've only had him a day then he's probably still settling into the tank.

yeah i thought that i was just a bit worried, he was the best fish at the shop and i didnt want him to die in my tank!!

Put something in the tank (like a large bridge or something) so he can hide under it from the light if he wants.
