I have a Juwel Vision 180, with the standard 2x25w tubes built into the hood.

When my tank was fresh water, I used to have the lights on about 6 hours only per day.

Since my switch to salty, I have been having my lights on 8 hours.

It seems though that the temperature goes up about 1.5 degrees C whilst the lights are on and then goes back down overnight.

I have even turned the heater off now, and the tank is still 24.5 degrees C in the morning and 26 degrees at night time when the lights go out. I have the skimmer in there and an extra powerhead, which may be giving off some heat?

Should I worry about this temperature change whilst the lights are on?

Thanks,

What is your heater set too? I would automatically set it higher to 25-26C, and that might stop your tank cooling to the 24C point.
