Can anyone give me a link for some lights that would be good for my tank? Its a 55 gallon, 4ft. Would like to keep low to moderate plants. No Co2, but some ferts once a week wouldn't be a problem. Any kind of light talk will just confuse me. It all goes over my head. I just need a link for some lights that would work for my tank.

How about This double ballast (the starter) with two of any 30w glo bulbs. 60 watts is the low end of medium and the high end of low lighting, so ferns (java etc) and anubias will grow OK. ITs a very cheap setup :good:

They don't ship to the U.S unfortunately. :/
Guess I should've stated where I'm located

Some reputable places are HelloLights, Marine Depot, and Drs. Foster and Smith to name but a few. I have done business with Drs. Foster and Smith as they really stand behind their products. They also have a helpline where you can actually talk to a "real" person and get advice/help etc.

Don't be intimidated by lighting. You'll get it. :) Sometimes so much information is thrown at you at once that it's overwhelming. UGH lol

I just went and found this site for you if you would like to peek at it. It gives excellent explanations regarding lighting. And again, you'll get it and I understand the confusion because there's SO much information.

Hope this helps (and if you feel goofy, well, uh, I don't know how to provide a link which is why I had to type it out for you and then you have to find it) :S :fun:
