I just want to know if i am burn my light correctly, it's on a timer and goes on at 15:00 and goes out at 22:30. Must I rather let the light burn's during normal day time and for how long. I have plant's in my tenk.

Most tropical aquarium plants need 10 to 12 hours of light to acheive a good ammount of growth and successfully consume nitrates from the water.
What i and most other people i know do is choose a "daytime" that suits you, if you are at work between 9am and 6pm then set the lights to come on from around 12 noon and stay on till 12 midnight so that the tanks lit hours are the ones when you are most likely to be viewing the tank.

Thank you very much. Another question, my plants wither after 1month. Could this be because my light isn't on 12hours a day, the other thing, could the UGF cause this?
