in the UK what lighting unit can I buy to use with tubes that won't cost a bomb!

my brother suggested screwfix which I'ved looked through a bit but they don't have the cups sytem that proper aqurium kits use.

how much is "a bomb"?

I asked my lfs if they stocked them, they said they had some at £15?

Yer....thats the general price I don't want to pay as I think there over priced for what they are. I want a quick fix for like a fiver!!

go to a d.i.y shop and get one of those kitchen bulbs they are only about £5.
