Lighting

Hi guys,

Im setting up a plantless aquarium, and while I have lights built into the hood, am I right in thinking that I only really need them on to see the Fish better, or is there some sort of photosynthesis process I am forgetting about?

If you've got no plants then all the lights will do really is annoy the fish and grow algae, so have them as dim as you like
