Lighting

I currently have a three foot tank which at the moment has only a few fish in.

The tank has a Wooden Hood and i need to put a new light into the tank.

Can anybody recommend the best lighting set up??

The light will have to go on the wooden edge of the hood

All i can seem to find is the tubes or the ones that clip onto the glass for tanks that have no hoods
