I have a 36inch wide tank The tank lid has holes for one light in a poor angle,,
how would I go about having 2 lights in there I have seen only once a dual light But No place to buy or get a power pack supporting it,

Im at my wits end looking and would like to know if there is any lids I can buy for my tank that allow 2x lights or do I have to make one, (not very handy with Diy) As im aiming for a planted tank,
And help/advice greatly thanked,

You can buy what's known as an "Overtank Luminaire" which clips on to the sides of the aquarium and stands a few inches off the surface of the water. Not a great solution if you have jumping fish, but you can always impose some egg crate or a glass cover if that's the case. This might be best asked in the planted forum though, as those guys deal with modding light fixtures for planted tanks all the time :good:

On my 4 foot tank, I am using a coralife fixture. I bought the extra mounting brackets to hold the fixture above the water. It has two bulbs in it already. You might try checking your LFS to see if they have something similiar in the 3foot range, I'm quite sure they should.

I have recently spotted them and think they look great,
Im sure a simple piece of acrylic would solve the problem, but one of my great concerns is when I lay in bed will the lights blind me :)
