i have a planted tank and i have two different kinds of lights and room for only two they are both 18 in. coralife 50/50 6000k and an eclipse natural daylight that is all the info i have on them so which two should i use which one would be better for the plants

It depends on how big the tank is and what the wattage is on the lights. You need about 2 to 3 watts of light per gallon of water if you want to have live plants.

:fish:

it is a 55 gal tank and the bulbs are 15 watt so i need to get more watt light bulbs for the plants to live or is there another way

Is lighting absolutely necessary for tropical fish?
Will ambiant light do?
Fish do not need a great deal of light to survive in a fish tank. But, they need a definate daytime and a nighttime cycle like nature provides. :)

The lightning necessary to keep fish healthy, however, is probably much less than what in needed to grow beautiful and luxurious plants. -_-
